"For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ." 2 Cor. 4:6
Ministry, as we see it in the Bible, is about serving. We serve God and we serve each other. As the sign on our lawn will tell you, “we are disciples of Jesus ‘delighted to share not only the Gospel of God but our lives as well’ (1 Thess. 2:8)”.
When God called Abram in the Bible, He said, "I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing" (Genesis 12:2 NIV). We are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others!
Some of the ways that we "share the Gospel and our lives" is through the various ministries we have for people of all ages. First Congregational Church is a multi-generational church; we serve our youngest children to our seniors. Please visit our ministry pages, and email us if you have any questions.
