Every major holiday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, we invite students into the homes of our families to share a meal together. We want to make you feel at home, you're part of our family!
We are blessed to have fantastic student leaders who are a part of our church. First also welcomes participation from students in all ministries; whether it's reading the Scripture on Sunday, helping with Sunday School or midweek Awana, joining us for prayer Wed evenings, joining the worship team, or becoming part of a home group, we would love to have you participate. For 30+ years First Congregational has heard God’s call to reach post-secondary students in Halifax. When the church built its first building in 1993, it chose a patch of land on Seldon Street so it could connect with the large student population between Quinpool Road and Dalhousie University and St. Marys University. At First Congregational you will find an intergenerational church seeking to envelope people of all ages into a supportive close-knit community.
